bronze comb migration period Thorshamers This piece of jewelry wasThis comb in solid jewelery bronze is based on combs from the Germanic migration period. Combs like these were often worn together with scale fibulae and served as both a hair care item and a beard comb. Body care had a ritual meaning during this period: cleanliness stood for cosmic order, and a well groomed appearance was part of the daily lives of both men and women. The comb is solid and carefully finished from fine jewelery bronze, approx. 6 x 4.
